Recap from our Patios & Walkways Class

From Detroit Farm and Garden's Andy Ray:

Our Patios and Walkways class went really well and a lot of folks found it very useful. I hope we made people realize that DIY projects don't have to be intimidating. They can actually be very doable! Here is a list of tools and materials we used during our workshop:

Tools: regular shovel, flat shovel, garden rake, pick axe, wheel barrel, manual or gas plate compactor, tape measure, dead blow hammer, mason hammer, string line, line level, 4 ft. level, cement float, stakes, brick saw, fence poles, screet board (2''x4'')

Materials: non-woven fabric (4 oz), 21AA (crushed concrete), sharp sand/2NS, whatever material you are laying with, polymeric sand, edging or brick paving restraints, 12'' spikes
